Holiday Decorations

The day after finishing the last of our own holiday decorations, the hubs and I were joined by the best friend and my sister on a holiday house tour.

As you can see from the rather rain soaked tickets, the weather was not ideal for walking around outdoors, but the tour was definitely worth it.  We toured ten large historic homes on Monument Avenue in the heart of Richmond.  Most had been decorated professionally.  We enjoyed getting ideas and just seeing the insides of those buildings.  We ended with some punch and cookies at the Architecture Museum and some homemade hot chocolate with whipped cream once we got home.

I’ve got these gift ornaments lining the ledge by our window, and…

… our already filled stockings lining bracketing the bull and the bulge on the ledge into our kitchen.

Our Christmas tree stands in the corner with a table cloth as a tree skirt (and our presents for each other and thank you cards underneath.)

A small arrangement on our coffee table…

Another on our TV…

And some silk garland on our bookshelf pretty much complete the decorations for this year.  Added to the gingerbread house, of course.
